The Ada Owerri Grassroots Foundation, founded by Chief Dr. Chinyere C. Okpe, has empowered hundreds of widows and less privileged individuals in Lagos. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the event took place at Salako Lane, Oko-Oba/Abattoir Road, Agege, and was attended by aged women, widows, widowers, and sick individuals.
The empowerment included food, wrappers, medical tests, and cash gifts, bringing smile to the faces of the recipients.
 Dr. Okpe stated that the foundation regularly empowers people in need, providing raw or cooked food, medical bill payments, and clothing.
The foundation was established to cater for abandoned individuals without assistance. It caters for people of all genders, addressing their specific needs to bring joy to their lives.
