The Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District in the Upper Legislative Chamber, Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule, has urged motorists to avoid reckless driving and over-speeding to prevent avoidable auto crashes that can lead to unnecessary deaths and life-threatening injuries.

Senator Adebule gave this advice through a condolence message she sent to the families of the victims of the Badagry auto crash that claimed 14 lives including that of a four month old baby which occured on Sunday, 9th July, 2023.
The Senator also condoled with the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, over the crash and the subsequent loss of lives.
“I am really saddened by this unfortunate incident. It’s unfortunate but avoidable hence I’ll want to urge our motorists to drive carefully on the roads. We should all avoid over-speeding and reckless driving. Our motorists should also avoid taking alcohol while on the wheels. These are the major causes of avoidable crashes on our roads which are leading to needless loss of lives and life-threatening injuries,” Senator Adebule said.
The Lagos West Senator stated further that, “my heart goes out to the families of the victims and our Governor over this monumental loss”.
“I pray that Almighty God gives the departed souls eternal rest and wish the injured victims quick recovery.”
