ADMCA Vocational Centre For Film & Media (AVCFM) To Open Soon In Awka

Reliable information at our reach indicates that ADMCA Vocational Centre For Film & Media (AVCFM) is set to open soon in Awka, the capital of Anambra State.

When fully open, the centre will offer Diploma Certificate in Film and Media Studies.

A Diploma Certification in Film and Media Studies is an area of study, which focuses on the use of new media in news and information production; and prepares individuals to function as filmmakers, new media journalists, managers, entrepreneurs, photographers and graphic designers.

1. About Film Studies:
Film Studies as part of media studies is a broad programme that covers everything related to the art of moving images. From cinema to television, as well as video art, social media and advertisements.
At ADMCA Training & Learning Center, students can pursue a minor in film & screen studies. This programme focuses on both the technical and creative aspects of film, from production to analysis (and everything in between).This is because filmmaking requires many different jobs, and students in the film studies may be interested in a specific concentration within this field, such as:

A. Editing
B. Writing
C. Directing
D.  Analysis
E.  Animation
F.  Lighting
F.  Cinematography
G. Sound design

A film studies major or minor will teach students a wide variety of filmmaking techniques, in order to fully prepare them for a career in the field. Core and elective courses alike will focus on valuable skills used in the film industry, such as: Script structure, Networking and collaboration, Story analysis, Proficiency in editing software.

2. About New Media Studies:  
From television to cinema, radio to podcasts, social media to blogs and vlogs, and everything in between – media studies plays a big part of our every day. And it is never been so relevant than in the internet age, where actors, singers, and personalities can make their own celebrity online using their media skills. As technology, creativity, and competition increases, these skills become more in demand all over the world.
Media Studies will equip you with the communication and technology skills needed to succeed in the modern workplace, whether in the media industry or not. Whether you choose to pursue a career in film and television, fight for your own fame, or take your skills into business – you’ll be well equipped for what the modern workplace is looking for.
