After Long Delays APC Primary Ongoing in Anambra East, Anambra West, Aguata, Onitsha North

After long hours of delay, which threatened the exercise, the APC Governorship Primary is currently ongoing in Anambra East and West Local Government Areas.
According to reports available to P.M.EXPRESS from the area, the late commencement was due to delay by aspirants in submitting their nominees to the Primary Election Sub-committee for the Local Government Areas.
Distribution of materials started in earnest to all wards with INEC observers on ground.
The exercise has since commenced in Anambra East Local Government Area and is going on smoothly.
In Anambra West LGA, minor hitches were recorded due to the terrain but they were resolved and the exercise has commenced.
In Aguata LGA, the Primary also witnessed delays due to late arrival of the Primary Sub-committee members and distribution of materials to wards.
As at the time of this report, a large turn out of voters was recorded at Uga Ward 1 and 2 and other areas in Aguata.
Election has also commenced in various wards in Onitsha North LGA after late arrival of materials and INEC observers.
Many members who left in frustration, later rushed back to the venues to participate in the Primary.
