Agric Business Training Launched For Youths & Women In Ekiti North Federal Constituency (II)

In a strategic initiative aimed at empowering youths and women in Ekiti North Federal Constituency (II), Hon. Kolawole Davidson Akinlayo has launched a skill acquisition training programme focused on Agric Business.

The event is being held at the renowned Onikoyi Event Hall in Ikun Ekiti.

This training programme specifically targets participants from Ido/Osi, Moba, and Ilejemeje Local Government areas, with the goal of equipping them with essential skills in rice and cassava farming. This initiative is a testament to Hon. Akinlayo’s dedication to fostering sustainable development and economic empowerment through agriculture, particularly among youth and women who are crucial to the local economy.

During the opening ceremony, Hon. Ogundaisi, Chairman of Isokan Local Government, underscored the significance of agriculture as a viable pathway to self-sufficiency and economic growth. He urged participants to fully embrace the training, which is designed to provide them with the practical knowledge and tools needed to excel in the agricultural sector.

The programme highlights the commitment to delivering high-quality training that addresses the specific needs of the participants. The training will cover a wide range of topics, including modern farming techniques, value addition, marketing strategies, and financial management.

Among the notable attendees at the training were Hon. Fadugba, Chairman of Moba Local Government; Hon. Ogundaisi, Chairman of Isokan LCDA; Hon. Ayelomo, Treasurer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State; and Hon. Mrs. Ibiloye, Chairman of Ero LCDA.


Hon. Fadugba, while presenting the certificates of completion, admonished the participants to make judicious use of the training, the cash, and the seedlings provided for the purpose intended. Hon. Mrs. Ibiloye prayed fervently for the facilitator, Hon. Akinlayo Kolawole, and urged everyone present to be proactive in combating the menace of redundancy.

The programme concluded with the participants receiving certificates of completion, equipping them to launch or expand their agricultural ventures and make significant contributions to the economic development of Ekiti State.
