Agulu Must Be United: Youths Protest Against Peter Obi

Agulu Youths numbering over 2000 have staged a peaceful protest on 4th of January against His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi over what they termed the negligence and abandonment of Agulu General Hospital.
According to the leaders of the peaceful rally, the youths of Agulu got infuriated with the recent donation of 20 Million Naira by Peter Obi to a General Hospital at Nsukka while the General Hospital at Agulu has been abandoned with overgrown grasses and all manner of dangerous reptiles and insects.
The Youths who were angry and chanted solidarity songs accuse His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi and one Engr. Akpulu the contractor of taking Agulu people for a ride.
Recall that the contract for the building of the General Hospital Agulu was awarded by Mr. Peter Obi who claims to have paid over Two Hundred Million Naira to Engr. Akpulu for the rehabilitation of the hospital while Engr. Akpulu has repeatedly denied collecting that amount of money from Peter Obi.
The angry youths are calling governor Soludo to wade into the matter as the community has no functional hospital.
The Youths were also angry with other contract projects awarded and abandoned by Mr. Peter Obi in Agulu which include, Obeagu Water Scheme, Judges Quarters, Fire Service Center, Police Station etc as well as many unfulfilled promises.
The Youths, who did not stop with abandoned projects by Peter Obi, also frowned at the President General and the Town Union over the alleged embezzlement of Forty Million Naira “Show Your Community Project” by former governor,Willie Obiano.
