Ajeromi Ifelodun LCDA To Hold Sports Summit On Wednesday

 In order to promote sports at the grassroots level, Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Council Development Area has concluded arrangement to organize a Sports Summit in line with vision of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo- Olu.

 The Sports Summit will hold on Wednesday morning at the premises of the council.

 Director Sports, Ajeromi  Ifelodun  Sports Council, Anaelechukwu  McAnthony said the Sports Summit is being organized to allow companies, individuals, and other stakeholders to get involve in sports development in Ajeromi Ifelodun.

 The theme of the summit is titled Community Partnership in Grassroots Sports Development.

McAnthony, who doubles as Special Adviser to the Executive Chairman on Media, said the organisers have contacted experts to speak on various topics to educate stakeholders on the importance of the summit, adding that the era of government carrying sports alone is over.

 Among the speakers invited are Austin Popo, Secretary General Of Nigeria’s Players Union, Gbedu Olatona, Technical Director Lagos State Basketball Association and Godwin Enakhenna, a media practitioner.

 McAtnhony said the essence of the summit is to ensure that private sector is fully involved in sports in Ajeromi Ifelodun. He said that sports can thrive if there is involvement of private sector and individuals with the government support.
