Akungba Community Condoles With Families Of Victims Of Owo Shooting, Condemns Killing

The entire Akungba sons and daughters at home and in diaspora, have condemned in strong terms the callous killing of innocent people at a Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, saying it is the height of criminality.

In a statement signed by Pius Babaleye, the Coordinator of Akungba platform, they said it is disheartening and condemnable for some individuals to open fire and kill people unjustly in the church of God.

While expressing heartfelt condolence to families of victims, they said that the security challenge in the country has taken a dangerous dimension and as such security agencies and the government must rise up to combat the ugly trend, which now shows that no place is safe within the country.

They also used the opportunity to commiserate with the Catholic community and the entire people of Ondo State, praying that God will grant the. fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
