Alhaji Dislodges King With Thugs, Crowns Himself

A 75-year old, Alhaji Muazu Adisa, has been arrested for allegedly engaging armed thugs and using them to take over the leadership of the Hausa Community in Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ilembe Hausa community in Ajangbadi area of Lagos where the members resided and did their businesses.
It was gathered that the community had leadership crisis among the leaders and efforts to resolve it had abortive before Alhaji Adisa took others unawares.
The suspect was said to have hired some thugs and members of the Odua Peoples’ Congress, OPC, invaded the place, dislodged other opposition leaders in the area and then took over as the leader.
Those intimidated and dislodged included Alhaji Memud Jinadu, Tajuddeen Balogun, Kareem Balogun and many other leaders in the area.
He was said to have brought the thugs, displayed their arms, created fear and threatened violence in the area. But he was later repelled and arrested by the operatives of the FSARS and charged before Ikeja Magistrates court for conspiracy and felony.
The police alleged that Alhaji Adisa invaded Ilembe Hausa Community with hired thugs and OPC members with cutlasses and dangerous weapons to instill fear and perpetrated violence in the area.
He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Peter Nwaogwu, did not oppose his bail.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Y.O. Aje-Afunwa, granted Alhaji Adisa bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 2nd August, 2018.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the police have started manhunt for his other accomplices who were said to have gone into hiding and now at large.
