Amb. Comr. Emeni Ibe Clarifies Position On Induction into Simplicity Movement

Posted on May 27, 2025
Niger Delta stakeholder and President General of the Orashi National Congress, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe, has publicly clarified his position regarding his recent induction as a leader in the Simplicity Movement, Ahoada East chapter.
Ibe addressed the misinformation being circulated to create what he described as “unnecessary pressure” in the political landscape.
In a statement issued to the media on Sunday, Amb. Comr. Emeni Ibe reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS, and restated his commitment to the political ideology championed by the Chief of Staff of the Government House, Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie.
“I am a firm believer in the political philosophy of Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie and remain fully aligned with the progressive agenda of our amiable Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara,” Ibe stated.
“The induction into the Simplicity Movement should not be misinterpreted as a shift in loyalty or ideology. Rather, it is a reaffirmation of our grassroots mobilization efforts to support the Governor’s people-centered administration.”
The youth leader and President General of the Orashi National Congress emphasized that some individuals are attempting to distort the narrative for personal or political gain, thereby misleading the public and creating divisions among supporters of the current administration.
“I find it necessary to address the public directly due to the rising wave of misinformation. We must remain focused and united behind the Governor’s vision for a better Rivers State. My involvement with the Simplicity Movement is solely to deepen support for good governance in Ahoada East and across the Orashi region,” he added.
Amb. Ibe called on all political actors, youth groups, and stakeholders in the state to avoid actions that could derail the progress being made under Governor Fubara’s leadership.
The clarification comes amid rising political tensions in some quarters, as the Rivers political scene continues to evolve ahead of key milestones in the Governor’s first term.
