Anambra East Set To Launch Waste Management Strategy

The Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra East LGA, Dr. Anselm Onuorah, has announced the launch of a waste management and sustainable environment strategy for the Local Government area.
According to him, “The journey towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goal 13 is an all-inclusive one. Environmental sustainability and safe climate is a pertinent task for healthy living”. Speaking further, he noted that the new waste management strategy is a domestication of Governor Soludo’s vision towards a clean and green environment that will be a model for others”.
“We have begun work on this already. Our contractors are working, we have mapped our green areas across the local government and have begun attending to them. More will happen” he stated.
The TC Chairman called on members of the public to join the good people of Anambra East LGA this Saturday, 10th September, 2022, at 10am as they officially launch the “Clean and Green Initiative (CGI) – The Anambra East Waste Management and Sustainable Environment Strategy”.
Dr Onuorah described the CGI as an “Ohazurume initiative”. Stating that stakeholders in the Local Government area have keyed in.
The venue for the programme is the Anambra East LG Headquarters in Otuocha.
