Anambra Media Community Mourns Passing Of Dr. Harris Udokamma Chuma-Odili

The Anambra Media Community has expressed shock and sadness over the passing of Dr. Harris Udokama Udokamma Chuma-Odili, the founder of Anambra Core Media Advocates. 

 

In a statement signed by Christian Aburime, Press Secretary to Governor Soludo, he said, “We are deeply saddened over the death of the esteemed founder of the Anambra Core Media Advocates, Dr. Harris Udokama Chuma-Odili, also known as Ogene Ogbunike, who passed away on 23rd August, 2025”.

 

As a passionate advocate for responsible media practices in the region, Dr. Chuma-Odili’s contributions to the field of journalism and media advocacy have had a significant impact on our community, promoting ethics, accountability, and civic engagement.”

 

“His dedicated efforts in fostering media literacy and empowering citizens through informed discourse have left a lasting legacy that will be cherished by many.”

 

“The loss of Dr. Harris Chuma-Odili is a profound one for Anambra State. He was a visionary leader who tirelessly championed the cause of truth in journalism and worked diligently to create a more informed and engaged society.”

 

“His passion for advocacy and commitment to elevating the voices of ordinary citizens serves as an inspiration to us all.”

 

“On behalf of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, and the entire media community in Anambra State, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Dr. Chuma-Odili’s family, friends, and colleagues and encourage all citizens of Anambra to celebrate his life and contributions, reflecting on the impact he made on media and public advocacy during his lifetime. May his wonderful soul rest on peace!” the statement concluded.
