Anambra Media Excellence Awards Set To Hold Nov 29, Nominations Open

The Association of Digital Media Core Advocates, ADMCA has opened nominations for the 2020 edition of the Anambra Media Excellence Awards AMEA.

In its second year, following a hugely successful maiden edition last year, the event provides the platform to honour and recognize personalities and programmes, which are positively influencing perceptions in the Anambra media landscape, notably regarded as one of the most vibrant in the country.

It is slated to hold on November 29, 2020, at the elegant Main Auditorium of Marble Arch Hotel, Awka, Anambra State.

Awards are up for grabs across platforms like radio, television and social media in categories such as: ‘Best Behaved Social Media Influencer/Personality’, ‘Most Influential On Air Personality (Radio), ‘Best Radio Programme’, ‘Radio Presenter Of The Year’, ‘Best TV Programme’, TV Presenter Of The Year’, ‘Best Entertainment Show On Radio’, ‘Best Entertainment Show On TV’, ‘Radio Station Of The Year’, ‘Online Media Team Of The Year’, ‘Most Popular Blogger Of The Year’, ‘AMEA Face Of The Year’, ‘Anambra Media Friendly Man/Woman Of The Year’, ‘ADMCA-rated Most Performing Commissioner in Anambra State Government Award’, ‘ADMCA-rated Most Performing Anambra House of Assembly Member Award’, ‘ADMCA-rated Most Performing Federal House of Rep. Member from Anambra State Award’, ‘ADMCA-rated Most Performing Distinguished Senator of Fed. Rep of Nigeria from Anambra State Award’, ‘ADMCA-rated Outstanding Law Enforcement Agency Award’ and ‘ADMCA-rated Most Performing Anambra State Government Agency Award’.

The National President of ADMCA, Dr. Harris Chuma, explained that this year’s edition will celebrate the creative excellence which has sprouted strongly even after the disruption of the system by COVID-19.

He said: “The show must go on in spite of the odds posed by corona virus. It is essential that we continue to recognize the achievements around us. Recognition is a powerful way for our society to continue to move forward, even when it feels like it’s at a standstill. And not only does it help society and our industry, it helps us as people. It feels good to be recognized for our hard work and contributions. It helps us stay positive, engaged, and motivated”.
