Anambra Shines At 2024 Presidential Prizes For Basic And Secondary Schools In Nigeria

Anambra State has once again proven its excellence in education, sweeping top honors at the 2024 Presidential Prizes for Schools in Nigeria at the 2024 world Teachers day celebration held in the FCT, Abuja.

Star Teacher: Nwosu Joseph Afamefuna, a dedicated educator from Government Technical College, Osamala, Ogbaru LGA, emerged as the Overall Best Teacher in all categories, topping the federal government’s list. His outstanding achievement earned him a brand-new Hyundai Accent.

Excellent School: Holy Child Secondary School, Isuofia, Aguata LGA, secured the Second Best Secondary School position nationwide, demonstrating Anambra’s commitment to quality education.

Exceptional Leaders: Two Anambra educators received recognition for their exceptional leadership:

•⁠ ⁠Chukwudumeme Franca Adaeze, Aforigwe Primary School, Umudioka, Dunukofia LGA, was named Second Best Primary Head Teacher.
•⁠ ⁠Dr. Umezinwa Grace Amara, Girls High School Uga, Aguata LGA, took the Second Best Secondary School Principal spot.

Also, Anambra teachers showcased their excellent spirit and discipline, securing 2nd position in the March Past among 37 states and federal education parastatals.
