Anambra State Ministry Of Health Is Recruiting Again For Suitable Candidates

The Anambra State Ministry of Health invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for various positions.

 

As part of the recruitment process, they will be conducting a Computer-Based Test (CBT) to assess candidates’ skills and knowledge.

 

Below are vacant positions and requirements:

 

 

SECTION A (SENIOR POSITIONS)

1.DIRECTOR OF HOSPITAL SECRETARY/MANAGER, GL.16

Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration or Management, or related field with at least 5 years post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a management position. Additionally, NYSC, Computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare operations, Leadership and management skills.

2. CONSULTANT, GL.15

Requirements: Possession of MBBS and Part II Final Examination Certificate of the Fellowship of the National Post-Graduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in the specialty.

3. SENIOR OPTOMETRIST,GL.12

Requirements: Possession of Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree or equivalent qualification registrable with the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Board of Nigeria who has successfully completed the National Youths Service Corps Scheme or obtained the NYSC certificate of exemption, plus at least three (3) years’ post-qualification cognate experience.

4. DENTAL OFFICER,  GL.12

Requirements: A degree in Dental Surgery registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), plus one (1) year post-qualification cognate experience.

5. MEDICAL OFFICER,  GL.12

Requirements: A degree in Medicine registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) , plus one year post-registration cognate experience.

6. DENTAL THERAPIST, GL.08

Requirements: i. HND in Dental Hygiene from an approved Health Institution.
ii. Successful Completion of a Four-year post WASSCE/SSCE training programme in an approved School of Dental Hygiene.

7. CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST I, GL.09

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field with possession of professional certificate of Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology or related field, and registration with the Nigerian Council of Psychologists (NCP) or the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) as a Clinical Psychologist. NYSC, Computer Skills and at least two years post-qualification experience in a clinical setting or related field.

8. NURSING OFFICER II, GL.08

Requirements: B.Sc in Nursing plus the registration of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)

9. NURSING SISTER/NURSING SUPERINTENDENT/MIDWIFERY SISTER, GL.08

Requirements: NRN plus NRM who has duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria ( NMCN).

10. PHARMACIST, GL.10

Requirements: Bachelor of Pharmacy degree registrable with the Pharmacist Registration Board of Nigeria (PRBN), plus one year post-qualification cognate experience.

11. PHARMACY TECHNICIAN, GL.07

Requirements: Certificate of completion of the prescribed three (3) years ‘ training programme at the School of Health Technology and obtained the registration of the institute of Medical Laboratory Technology for Technician cadre.

12. MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST, GL.10

Requirements: A degree in Medical Laboratory Science, registrable with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technologists plus at least four (4) years’ post-registration cognate experience.

13. MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN, GL.07

Requirements: By direct appointment of a candidate possessing West African School Certificate/Senior Secondary School Certificate who has successfully completed a three (3) year training in a recognized institution and obtained the Registration of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology of Nigeria for Technician Cadre.

14. RADIOGRAPHY OFFICERS II/ MEDICAL IMAGING SCIENTISTS II, GL.10

Requirements: By direct appointment of a candidate possessing a Bachelor’s degree in Radiography from a recognized University or any other equivalent qualification registrable with the Radiographers’ Registration Board of Nigeria   (RRBN) plus at least Four year’s post-qualification cognate experience.

15.RADIOGRAPHER, GL.08

Requirements: By direct appointment of a candidate possessing the Diploma of the Society of Radiographers (DSR) or Certificate of Membership of Radiographers or any equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution plus at least three year’s post-qualification cognate experience.

16. SCIENTIFIC OFFICER II (HEALTH), GL.08

Requirements: By direct appointment of a candidate possessing a good Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) in medical and appropriate natural sciences.

17. MEDICAL RECORDS TECHNICIAN, GL.07

Requirements: By direct appointment of candidate possessing ANY of the followings:
i. Associate Membership of the Association of Medical Records Technicians
ii. Associate Membership of Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators.
iii. Certificate of Registration of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology for Technician Cadres after successful completion of the prescribed three (3) years’ training programme.

18. COMMUNITY HEALTH TECHNICIAN, GL.07

Requirements: By direct appointment of a candidate possessing West African School Certificate/Senior Secondary School Certificate who has successfully completed a three (3) years’ training in a recognized Health institution and obtained the Registration of the Institute of National Council  for Community Health Practice Board of Nigeria for Technician Cadre.

 

SECTION B (JUNIOR POSITIONS)

19. HEALTH ASSISTANT, GL.04

Requirements: By direct appointment of a candidate possessing S.75 or Junior Secondary School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) obtained with three (3) credits at one (1) sitting or four (4) credits at two sittings, who has successfully completed the two-year training programme in the School of Health Technology or any other approved Health Institution and obtained the National Certificate for Health Assistant Cadres.

20. HEALTH ATTENDANT, GL.02

Requirements: By direct appointment of a candidate possessing the First School Leaving Certificate.

21. MOTOR DRIVER, GL.03

Requirements: By direct appointment of a candidate possessing the First School Leaving Certificate plus a valid Class ‘C’ Driving Licence.

22. CLEANER, GL.01

Requirements: By direct appointment of an able bodied candidate

23. WASHERMAN, GL.02

Requirements: By direct appointment of a candidate possessing the First School Leaving Certificate.

24. SECURITY GUARD II, GL.03

Requirements: By direct appointment of a candidate possessing the First School Leaving Certificate plus evidence of training in either the Nigerian Police Force or any of the disciplined services.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

  1. Interested and qualified candidates on item no. 1 to 18 are to apply by clicking on the button below, filling in all the required information provided. Only suitably qualified candidates will be invited for Computer Based Tests (CBT). Subsequently, Candidates that meet the CBT Cut-off marks for each Cadre will be shortlisted for Oral interviews.
  2. Interested and qualified candidates for positions on item no. 19 to 24 should forward their Applications accompanied by photocopies of their Credentials and their Curriculum Vitae to the Administration Department of the State Ministry of Health, at Jerome Udorji Secretariat Complex, Awka within two (2) weeks of this publication. All submissions should be done in a long office white file with the following:

i           Application Letter.

ii          Curriculum Vitae.

iii         Certificate of Birth.

iv         Certificate of Origin.

v          Relevant Qualification Certificates.

vi         Two Passport Photographs.
