APC National Women Leader Meets With Progressives Legislative Aides of Nigeria

Members of Progressives Legislative Aides of Nigeria (PLAN), led by its Director General, Comrade Kayode Lawal, visited the APC National Women Leader, Dr. (Mrs.) Mary Alile (Capacity), at the APC National Headquarters earlier yesterday.

The group appreciated what the National Women Leader has been doing since assuming office.

According to Comrade Kayode to the NWL: “We have heard a lot about your activities since you assumed the office. We are so impressed by your background as a civil society person – you are the face of progressive mothers of Africa”.

Comrade Kayode enumerated the efforts being made by PROGRESSIVES LEGISLATIVE AIDES OF NIGERIA (PLAN) since 2015 and promised to be a reliable partner to the office of the National Women Leader.PLAN used the meeting to present their proposal for synergy with the office of the National Women Leader.

The National Women Leader of the APC, Dr. (Mrs.) Mary Alile (Capacity), in her response, appreciated the group for the visit. She also acknowledged the media wing of the group and assured them of progressively working together in the future.
She reminded the group that the Renewed Hope agenda of His Excellency, Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is for all and sundry, irrespective of political affiliation, background, or religion.

She thanked His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for appointing a good number of women into his cabinet and other positions, saying: “since 1960, no President has appointed as many women into his cabinet as we are experiencing in this government. He (The President) has given women a voice – we appreciate him, while still asking for more”.The NWL of the APC also promised to put strategies in place to empower women to discover and fulfill their potentials. According to the National Women Leader: “there will be a NEED ASSESSMENT PROGRAM to know the needs of the people, and, thereafter, empowering them according to their needs. In this case, support groups have roles to play”.

Driving support for women is her workhorse, to tap from the available resources – support groups have roles to play. “Women are the ones voting – the evidence is there”.  She also referenced the inauguration of 18 SAs recently appointed by her office as a tip of the iceberg of the events to come in taking back all the states for APC.

Alh. Abdulmamid Borgo appreciated the National Women Leader for her oratory ability and capacity to deliver.

Past activities of the group were presented to the National Women Leader by Lady Ibere.
