APC Orlu Zonal Leadership Vows To Re-Elect Uzodimma, Takes Town Hall Meeting To Isu/Njaba 

The highly impressive and massive Local Government town hall meeting was aimed at reviewing the ward and booth executives of the All Progressives Congress in their respective LGAs, in order to further strengthen them for robust engagements at the grassroots, consciously raising the bar of awareness for the numerous developmental giant strides of Governor Hope Uzodimma, and the need to re-elect him for a second term in office to continue with his good works.

The Local Government political tour, which prepares the ruling party ahead of the November 11 governorship election,  started on Thursday, July 20, 2023, had as its kick-off point Nkwerre and Nwangele LGAs, where members of the All Progressives Congress turned out in their numbers to welcome the leadership of the party and other stakeholders for a  town hall interface with the elected officials and government appointees in the aftermath of the February 25, 2023, general elections and the Imo State House of Assembly election respectively.

Receiving its August visitors to Njaba  LGA, the honourable member  representing Njaba State Constituency, Hon. Ebonine Ozioma Worship, Sole Administrator of the LGA, Hon. Vitalis Obi (Etiokwe), Hon. Emeka Ihenacho, SA to Governor Uzodimma on Door-to-Door,  Rt. Hon. Amb. Uju Onwudiwe, immediate past member that represented Njaba Constituency, etc, received the colourful  entourage of the Orlu Zonal leadership of the APC proactively led by Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly and member representing Nwangele Constitutency, Rt. Hon. Chigozie Nwaneri, Chief Whip of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Kelvin Ugwu, Orlu Zonal Chairman of APC, Deputy Chief of Staff to Imo State Government House, Hon. Barr. Emeka Agbo. Others were Hon. Barr. Chisom Ojukwu – Nkwerre Constituency, Hon.  Ebonine Ozioma – Njaba Constituency, Rt. Hon. Uche Agabiga – Orsu Constituency,  Hon. Engr. Gilbert Nwosu – Oguta Constituency, Hon. Okechukwu Udeze – Ideato North Constituency,  Hon. Osuoha Uzomah Francis – Ohaji-Egbema Constituency;  State Secretary of the party, Hon. Chief Greg Madu, State Organizing Secretary, Hon. Ikechukwu Umeh, the Zonal youth leader, Hon. Odunze Ajaero, among other State and Local Government officials of the party from Imo West Senatorial District; Orlu Zone.

The Imo Deputy Speaker, Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, Deputy Chief of Staff to Imo State Government House, Hon. Barr. Emeka Agbo and Orlu Zonal Chairman of the APC,  Barr. Kelvin Ugwu; who spoke differently, charged the party faithful in Njaba LGA to take as urgent responsiblity the need to start mobilizing and galvanizing support for the party through membership drive so as to keep everyone on their toes ahead of the November 11, 2023 governorship election.

The highpoint of the event was the reception of some decampees from other political parties, who joined the All Progressives Congress in Njaba LGA  and were given a rousing welcome.

During his remarks, the highly cerebral, people-oriented, youthful and useful member representing Njaba State Constituency, Hon. Ebonine Ozioma Worship, thanked the State and Orlu Zonal leadership of the APC for their commitment in using the town hall meeting to sensitize the party faithful and numerous supporters in Orlu Zone, assuring them that Njaba LGA will massively vote for Governor Hope Uzodimma;  just as they voted for him during the Imo State House of Assembly election.

In Isu LGA, it was also a shutdown as the leadership of the All Progressives Congress in Orlu Zone and its membership, turned out in large numbers just like their Njaba sister LGA, to receive the State and Zonal party  officials; who came for a town hall meeting to thank them for their support during the last elections while passionately soliciting for same show of love, avowed loyalty and unflinching support in the re-election bid of Governor Hope Uzodimma.

A former Deputy Chairman of the Imo State Peoples Democratic Party and critical leader in Isu Local Government area, Hon. Martin Ejiogu, alongside other leaders received the new decampees from PDP and other political parties in   Isu LGA, as they pledged their unalloyed loyalty and support to the APC.

While the political town hall meeting provided the newly elected members of the 10th Imo State House of Assembly a rare opportunity to thank the electorate, who voted them into power, it should also serve as a golden avenue to give hope to the downtroddden, the despair, while assuring them of their honest commitment in ensuring robust, effective and people-oriented representation as Nigerians wade through this challenge of fuel subsidy removal era.
