APC UK Debunks Congress Schedule Of Activities

Posted on June 12, 2024
The All Progressives Congress (APC) UK Interim Committee Secretariat said its attention has been drawn to another highly concerning, misleading, and fraudulent Schedule of Activities regarding a purported APC UK congress, which was allegedly signed by an NWC executive, H.E. Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, OFR.
Reacting to the development, Joseph Kolawole Adebola, MNIM, MCICN, Secretaryof APC UK Interim Committee said, “Having forwarded the bogus notice of Schedule of Activities to the NWC, I have been given an assurance to the effect that the bogus notice did not emanate from the NWC or any of its members”.
“I wish to reiterate the earlier assertion in last week’s disclaimer that the APC UK Interim Committee, under the authority of the APC NWC, wishes to clarify that it is not aware of any such congress, nor has the Party’s National Working Committee (NWC) approved a congress for the UK chapter. The interim committee secretariat has yet to be directed or informed about any such event. Furthermore, the Interim Committee Secretary has complained about several past breaches, which the Deputy National Chairman (North) is still investigating.”
“As we hold our NWC leaders in high esteem, especially the National Organising Secretary of our great party, H.E. S. M. Argungu, we are not going to stand aloof and allow some elements to smear their good names in their desperate pursuit of personal interest.”
“It is also important to notify our members and the general public that any notice of a congress should be released from the office of the Secretary of the Interim Committee, who manages the secretariat.”
“We strongly urge our loyal members and the general public to exercise their discernment and disregard this and any notice that does not emanate from the office of the Secretary of the APC UK Interim Committee.”
“We urge the party’s NWC to take urgent steps to address these untoward actions by those whose personal ambition seem not in line with the ethos of the Party to ensure they do not tarnish the good image of APC forthwith.”
