Why I Applied For Nasarawa United Job- Coach Banjo

The Head Coach of Nigeria Deaf Football national team, Kamilu Banjo has opened up why he is interested in coaching premiership club side, Nasarawa United Football Club.

Banjo who has won several laurels in his coaching career said that time has come for him to take his coaching career to next level, boasting that his experiences will help him to excel in the Northern club.

“I just submitted my CV and other credentials to Nasarawa United for a coaching job. It is a great pleasure to work in Nasarawa United. I have been monitoring their performance in the league and the club has structured and good players ha can give me a needed result, so I will be happy if I am invited for interview and get the job,”he said.

Banjo who said he is not afraid of coaching the premier club side, noted that he is waiting for the appointed time to handle both the premier and professional club. Banjo disclosed  that he has won many laurels both for national team and local clubs in Nigeria. He boasted that if he gets Nasarawa United job, he will give them a continental ticket.

“I am not coming to the premier club side to make number but prove the critics that I can also deliver in the premier league in spite of the challenges that may come my way. I am not afraid of the premier league but all I need is support from management, fans and players to make me succeed on the job, “he said.

Banjo revealed that presently he is preparing Nigeria Deaf Football National Team for the Deaf Football Africa Championship scheduled for Nigeria.He said the Deaf national team need to start early preparation so as to excel in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Nigeria was given hosting right by Confederation For Africa Deaf Sports to host the  maiden edition of  Africa Deaf Football Tournament this year.
