Arafat Ready For Golden Eaglets Challenge

Having scored 9 goals to help John Utaka Foundation Football team of Nigeria win SATUC World Cup 5-Aside Under 16 tournament in Bulgaria, Hussaini Arafat has said that he is ready for the Golden Eaglets challenge if invited to the camp of the cadet Eagles.

The 15 year old football prodigy disclosed this exclusively to PM EXPRESS when the team arrived Abuja over the weekend. He said that his dream is to play football to the optimal level and be very successful with great humility learning the craft and art of the game from football coaches.

” I am glad to represent my country and to win the tournament for John Utaka Foundation football team. My dream is to play football and continue to improve.I will feel very happy if I am invited to the Golden Eaglets. I will strive to be the best wherever I find myself and I know that I  am equal to the challenges of playing for Golden Eaglets”, Arafat said.

The player who won the Most Valuable Player,  MVP at the tournament said he never expected to win the individual award, aside from his aim to be the highest goal scorer in the tournament.

“I was thinking of winning the trophy and also win the highest goal scorer award, but during the tournament, players from other teams kept telling me that I  would win the best player of the tournament. Players from Mexico, Morocco and even Bulgaria told me that I deserved to win the best player of the tournament and iywas happy to win laurels for my country, ” he added.

He also showered praises on John Utaka Foundation for giving him the platform to showcase and nurture his talent, as he stressed that a lot of kids with talents in football are dreaming of joining the football foundation and it is a great privilege that he is a part of the success story of the foundation.

“John Utaka Foundation has really helped me. Many kids in Nigeria wants to join. I saw a lot of young players making enquiries about the foundation in the social media and it is a good place to learn and develop your football”, he said
