ASATU National President, Akpudo Tasks Communities On Peaceful Coexistence

National President of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, ASATU, an umbrella body of all the 179 Town Unions in Anambra State, Hon Barr Titus Akpudo [Ichaka Egbe-Eji-Egbu-Agu Eziowelle], has urged Forum of Presidents General to promote peace and unity in the state.
The ASATU National President stated this in his Ember month message.
According to him, there is a need for communities to realise that there is no alternative to peace.
He said it is the duty of the heads of community in the state to ensure that their communities is staying focus on the “solution mantra of a prosperous, livable and smart homeland”.
He noted that the continued support for Gov Soludo led administration will help the Governor deliver on the mandate given to him by ndị Anambra and appeal to the forum to ensure that youths in their respective communities are properly educated on the need to shun all manner of violence.
He also commended traditional rulers in the state for their roles in sustaining peace and tranquility in their communities.
Hon Akpudo, who expressed optimism that better days were ahead, however, urged the people to pray fervently for the peace, unity and progress of the state and the nation in general.
“The security and economic challenges we are facing can be surmounted but we need to make greater sacrifices, show more love and understanding to one another.”
“We need to be more tolerant and always preach peace to pave way for the rapid growth of the state in all ramifications,” Akpudo said.
