Assault On Widow: Igbo Elders Council Resolve Rift Between Women Wing & Ohanaeze President, Chief Aguene

The rift between the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo,Lagos State, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene and the Women wing over alleged assault and detention of a widow, Princess Ifeoma Okpala, has been resolved.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the matter was resolved at the weekend following the intervention of the Igbo Elders Council led by the former President of Ohanaeze in Lagos, Chief Oliver Akubueze.
The Women wing had protested against Chief Aguene and called for his removal over assault of the helpless widow, Princess Ifeoma and detained her at Area C Police Command. The action attracted condemnation from Igbo women and men which prompted the Elders Council to move in and resolve the matter.
P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the parties involved including Aguene, Women leader, Mrs. Violet Obiora and the victim, Princess Ifeoma Okpala were summoned by the Elders Council and the matter was finally resolved.
This was confirmed by the Chairman of the Igbo Elders Council, Chief Akubueze, who said that the matter has been completely resolved and the parties embraced peace.

“Yes, we sat from 12 noon till 7pm and ensured that the matter was resolved and both parties accepted the peace” Akubueze said.
It was also resolved that Chief Aguene should withdraw the matter against Ifeoma at the Police Station and should not molest or maltreat her in future, which Aguene accepted.
They were said to have sang different songs after the peace pact and went home happily after the matter was resolved at the Ohanaeze Secretariat in Surulere, Lagos.
