The African Boxing Ambassador, Bashiru Lawrence Ali (OON), was on Tinubu/Shettima campaign train in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, southwest Nigeria on Friday to drum support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the 2023 general election is fast approaching.

Ali, who is fondly called Bash Ali, was well received by the former Governor of Lagos, who was so excited that a boxing world champion could come around to identify with him while campaigning for the presidential election in Ado Ekiti.

Bash Ali used the opportunity to wish Tinubu well in the coming election, praying for his success in the poll. The champion thereafter discussed the hosting in Nigeria of the first Guinness World Record (GWR) Boxing Championship with Tinubu and how to hold in Nigeria a free and fair 2023 election devoid of violence, intimidation, and a poll all laced with the spirit of sportsmanship where the loser would congratulate the winner and wish him success with the new Nigeria.

Bash Ali also presented Tinubu with the GWR Boxing Championship souvenirs amid pomp by the supporters of the APC presidetial flagbearer in Ado Ekiti on Friday.
