News coming out from the camp of Bayelsa Queens FC says the club has just signed Janet Akekoromowei, the Nigeria Women Football League’s second highest goal scorer for the 2024/25 season, from Nasarawa Amazons FC.

P.M. EXPRESS can report that Janet, who will wear the iconic No. 9 jersey, is being looked upon by the club to bring her proven goal-scoring prowess and attacking quality to the Prosperity Girls as they prepare for the CAF Women’s Champions League and the upcoming NWFL Premiership season.

“This signing reflects our commitment to strengthening the squad with the best talent as we continue to raise the standard of women’s football in Nigeria and Africa.

“I’m excited to join Bayelsa Queens and can’t wait to give my best for this great club,” Janet said after putting pen to paper.
