Ben Eke Charges ONC Leadership To Utilize Their Platform For Promotion Of Peace And Unity

The Executive Chairman of Ahoada East LGA, Rivers State, Chief Hon. (Barr.) Ben Eke , DSSRS, on Wednesday 27th March, 2024, received in audience the leadership of Orashi National Congress, ONC, in his office at the Council Secretariat, Ahoada.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the group, ably led by its President General, Snr. Comr. Emeni Ibe, expressed appreciation to the Executive Chairman for faithfully discharging his duties.
He also used the medium to inform the the Council boss about their forthcoming summit on Peace and Unity in the Orashi Region.
As an independent sociocultural organization, Comrade Ibe stated that their aims and objectives are to advocate for sustained security, promote peace, unity, justice, to enlighten and mobilize the Orashi people to resolve conflicts through dialogue and consultation with security agencies.
In response, the Executive Chairman, Ben Eke, thanked the group for the visit and encouraged them to utilize their platform to promote peace and educate the people on how to live in unity.
The Council boss also urged them to adhere to the group’s aims and objectives, cautioning against aligning with any political group or politician.
It would be recalled that the ONC has been meeting with different stakeholders in the Orashi Region including security operatives with the focus of ensuring peace, unity, development and progress of the region.
