Boy, 17, In Police Net Over S*x With Sister, 8

Police operatives from the Gender Section of the Lagos State Command have arrested a 17-year old boy, who allegedly engaged his younger sister in sex after watching pornographic video and was caught in the act.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Church Street, Satellite town area of Lagos, where they reside.

According to Police sources, the suspect was said to have watched pornographic video, got aroused sexually and decided to put in practice by engaged the sister into the act.

But while in the act, it got exposed by the neighbours who contacted the parents and the Police moved into action. 

The boy was arrested in the area and transferred to the Gender Section for interrogation and he reportedly admitted to have done so with the victim.
Having been found culpable, he was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement, which attracts life imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before Court. 

When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor,  DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice since both the defendant and victim are still minors.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubeinje, ordered the defendant to be remanded in Juvenile Correctional Centre pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP. 

The matter was adjourned till 19th June, 2022, for the report of the DPP to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction. 

The name of the victim and that of the defendant were withheld because they are minors in line with the policy of P.M.EXPRESS in such matters.
