When Mr. Joseph Ojeka got married to his wife, Jennifer, in her village, Calabar, Cross River State, about 8 years ago, he never envisaged that he will not be able to satisfy her sexually.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Joseph’s alleged inability to sexually satisfy his wife has broken the marriage as Jennifer asked the Court to dissolve the marriage. The Court in turn ordered her to return her bride price to the man as condition to separate them.

The divorce suit was successful on Wednesday 10th June, 2020; an Upper Area Court sitting in Makurdi, Benue State, dissolved the marriage between Joseph and Jennifer, on grounds that he starved her of sex.

The husband, Joseph, refused to appear in Court but sent his bank account number and asked the wife to pay the bride price into the account as he was tired of the marriage over high demands for sex.

The Judge, in her verdict, stated that facts before the Court indicated that the marriage between the duo had failed completely. She directed Mrs. Jennifer to return the bride price paid by Mr. Joseph.

Jennifer had filed a divorce suit against her estrange husband, Joseph, stating that he physically beats her up at the slightest provocation and also starved her of sex.
Jennifer further said that she had tried everything within her capability to make the marriage between them work but it kept getting worse.

She told the Court that their marriage was solemnised in 2012 under the Calabar Marriage Laws and Customs but that it had not worked over those years and wanted to quit in order to move on with her life.
