Buhari Appoints Former Lawmaker, Sunday Adepoju As New Postmaster-General

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Hon. Sunday Adepoju as the new postmaster-peneral for the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST).
Adepoju takes over from Bulus Yakubu who held the position in an acting capacity following the suspension of Ismail Adewusi.
Mr. Uwa Suleiman, spokesman of the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami, in a statement Wednesday, said Adepoju’s appointment was recommended by the minister and approved by President Buhari.
Adepoju’s appointment will be for an initial term of five years.
Adepoju, an accountant, is a former member of the House of Representatives where he served from 2011 to 2019, representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency of Oyo State.
