Build The Youths Movement Launched, Enjoined To Promote Democracy In APGA

The Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo campaign Organization has inaugurated a youth sociopolitical group known and referred to as “Build the Youths Movement”, BYM.


The Anambra youths based grassroots movement will rely on collective action and utilize an array of strategies in the upcoming governorship election in the state. 

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, which held at Okija, on Saturday, the APGA frontline governorship aspirant, Nze Akachukwu Sullivan Nwankpo, said “Build the Youths Movement is a formidable political structure under his campaign organization. The structure  is not designed to get Nwankpo elected, rather, they are here to make sure democracy thrives in APGA”.

Ultimately, the mission of BYM in APGA is to make sure the democratic norms and processes as stipulated by the APGA governorship primary election guidelines, and ultimately the party’s constitution is not contravened. Also, the grassroot political movement is charged with the mandate to help APGA grassroots hold unto democracy. 

According to Nze Nwankpo “Build the youths movement is founded, ready to make sure that arbitrary behavior does not survive in APGA” he said.  BYM has a wide spread across the state and maintains huge presence in the 326 Political Wards in Anambra. They will work relentlessly to ensure the Primary election happened as specified by the National Working Committee of the APGA.

The 21 Local Government Coordinators, who were visibly present at the epoch event, promised to deliver on their mandate.  

According to Dr. Harris Chuma-Odili, FCMsp, DG Media/Publicity & Strategy Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo Campaign Organization, BYM is an organizational hub for other campaigns intended to improve youths participation in politics with a focus on democratizing society from below. It enjoys the organic popular support of large number of APGA faithfuls at the grassroots level.
