Buruj Sports Academy Mourns Ex-International, Yisa Sofoluwe

The entire Management and players of Buruj Sports Academy mourns the death of Ex-International, Yisa Sofoluwe.

After being diagnosed of Cerebral Atrophy at LUTH, The Former Super Eagles defender, fondly called Dean of Defence, took a bow at 53 years.

Yisa Sofoluwe was a member of the Eagles squads which reached the final of the 1984 and 1988 AFCON tournaments winning 40 caps and scoring one goal for his country. 

Sofoluwe also played for  the defunct Abiola Babes of Abeokuta, IICC of Ibadan and Gateway Football Club of Abeokuta.

“We pray that Almighty God will forgive his trespasses and grant him peace, bless his departed soul and welcome him into the joy of everlasting brightness in heaven! Yisa Sofoluwe lives on…” CEO of Buruj Sports Academy said.
