Just days after their remarkable feat of winning the English International Super Cup in Manchester in the United Kingdom, Buruj Sports Academy players were admitted on trials at Fulham Football Club.

The players; Noah Salaudeen, Azeez Oseni and Abubakar Abdulsalam were lucky to earn a chance to impress coaches of the English championship side and the trio wowed handlers at the Fulham Football Club training round, Motspur Park New Malden Surrey.

Since winning the 2017 English International Super Cup, scouts who watched players of the Lagos based academy in Manchester have been in contact with the chief executive officer of the academy, Dr Salaudeen Waheed to advance talks of assessing selected youngsters at their various clubs in the United Kingdom.

Describing the chance given to his players by Fulham Football Club as a great opportunity, Dr Salaudeen said the progress achieved so far has vindicated the management of the academy’s resolve to participate in the English Super Cup because the exposure of the youth tournament has put some of the boys on the radars of football academies in and outside London.

“For me, the past few days has been great and I’m optimistic about the future of the boys. The responses of scouts and applause of friends and fans of Buruj Sports Academy that greeted our triumph in the United Kingdom has been encouraging. I’m looking forward to a great future for these boys, ” Dr Salaudeen said.

“As we continue our UK tour, we will have more players going on trials before the scheduled friendly match with Tottenham Under 18 youth team. We are looking at the possibilities of playing other academies like ours here in London starting from Monday, ” Dr Salaudeen said.
