The Media and Publicity Committee for the 2018 African Senior Athletics Championships have agreed to a concession to accredit more journalists for the event.
Olukayode Thomas the head of the committee said it was imperative to give more media practitioners the chance to be part of the historic event that will be staged in Asaba, Delta State from August 1-5.
According to Thomas, the initial plans was to accredit 150 journalists but going by the interest that has been shown across the continent, there will be the need to allow for more genuine entries.
“The interest shown by the media has been massive so we must give more people the chance,” he stated

around
The applications to be sent must include the full names of the journalists, the name of their organizations, their media type (eg. Written Press, Online, Radio. Etc).
They must also specify which sort of accreditation they are applying fo whether video, photo etc along with other relevant information.
All applications are to come in on or before Friday, July 27 after which no other requests will be entertained.
