You Can’t Go! I’ve Spent Too Much Money On You – Jilted Man Tells Lover

A lady, Aminat Ojojo, appears to be in real trouble after she jilted her lover, Yusuf Adams, who insisted that she cannot leave him because he had spent too much money on her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Tajudeen Street, Onilekere area of Lagos, where they reside.
The lady, Miss Aminat, however, insisted that Adams cannot force her to continue in the relationship because she was tired. But he insisted that she must continue because when he was spending money on her she was not tired.

This led to exchange of words and in the process, Adams mercilessly rained blows on her face, destroyed her door glass and threatened that he will kill her if she did recant and come back to him.
The matter was reported to the Police at Shasha Division. Adams was arrested and detained at the Police Station for investigation.
P.M.EXPRESS scooped that Adams told the Police that Aminat was his lover, who he had spent so much to maintain and wanted to get married to her. The 34-year old angry Adams said now that he had made up his mind to marry her, then said she was no longer interested in the relationship.

“She faked that she loved me and I was spending money on her” he angrily said.
However, the Police found him culpable for assaulting Aminat and later charged him before Ejigbo Magistrates Court for assault and threatening to kill her because she said she was no longer interested in their relationship.
He was also charged for impersonation by parading himself as a Police  officer attached to FSARS with identity card, which was false.
He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr. Simon Njue, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing for Police to prove that he actually committed the offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.S. Okubule, granted Adams bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
However, he was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions. The matter was adjourned till 18th November 2019.
While Adams was being taken to prison custody, he insisted that Aminat was his lover and the relationship will continue when he comes out from prison custody.
