CEOAFRICA & GHC Team Celebrate Geneith Pharmaceuticals Chairman, Chief Emmanuel Umenwa On Birthday

The Managing Director of CEOAFRICA and initiator of the Geneith Health Competition, Prince Cletus Sunday Iloabanafor, joined staff and associates of Geneith Pharmaceuticals Limited to celebrate the Executive Chairman of the company, Chief Emmanuel Umenwa, on his birthday.

Chief Umenwa was received with cheers at the company’s headquarters where members of staff, the GHC team, and business associates paid tribute to his leadership, commitment to staff welfare, and contributions to healthcare development in Nigeria.

Speaking at the event, Prince Iloabanafor described Chief Umenwa as a distinguished leader in the pharmaceutical industry whose work has improved healthcare delivery and community development across the country.

“Chief Emmanuel Umenwa is a beacon of excellence. His contributions to the pharmaceutical sector have saved countless lives and raised the standard of healthcare delivery,” Iloabanafor said.

He commended Umenwa’s journey from entrepreneurship to becoming a key figure in Nigeria’s pharmaceutical sector, noting that his leadership has been driven by innovation, integrity and commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare.

Chief Umenwa is the Founder, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Geneith Pharmaceuticals Limited. He has over two decades of experience in the industry. He is a member of the Institute of Directors and an active Rotarian.

His contributions to the sector have earned him several recognitions, including the Pillar of Pharmacy Award from the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Branch, and the National Outstanding Leadership Performance Award from the National Association of Polytechnic Students.

Under his leadership, Geneith Pharmaceuticals has supported public health initiatives, particularly anti-malaria campaigns and health awareness programmes in communities across Nigeria. His philanthropic work has also focused on healthcare access, medical support and the fight against preventable diseases.

Chief Umenwa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Lagos. He also serves on the boards of organisations in the telecommunications, hospitality and pharmaceutical sectors.

The Geneith Health Competition and other advocacy initiatives of the company have further strengthened community engagement and promoted health literacy among Nigerians.

Also speaking at the event, the National Coordinator of Geneith Health Competition, Pharm. Blessing Ghensel, described Chief Umenwa as a leader passionate about youth development and quality healthcare for all Nigerians.

In his response, Chief Umenwa expressed appreciation to staff, associates and well-wishers for their support. He pledged to continue upholding excellence, integrity and service to the Nigerian people.

As part of his birthday appeal, Chief Umenwa called on Nigerians and healthcare stakeholders to prioritize the fight against malaria.

“The best way to celebrate my birthday is to join the fight against malaria and work towards a malaria-free Nigeria,” he said.

Other members of management present at the celebration included Blessing Ada Cosmas, Head of HR and Admin; Abimbola Bowoto, AGM Sales and Marketing; Obinna Agunye, Special Assistant to the Chairman; Umeh Chidozie, PA to the Chairman; and Goodluck Chioma, Procurement Officer.

The leadership of CEOAFRICA and the GHC activation team joined Geneith staff, family members and business associates to wish Chief Emmanuel Umenwa many more years in good health and continued success.
