Charms Fail Robbers During Operation On Easter Day

It was a bad day for two robbers who attempted to snatch a motorcycle on Easter Sunday with arms and charms as they failed and were arrested by the police in Ogun State .

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the men of Ogun State Police Command on Easter day at about 7.30 am arrested One Seun Adewole, 26, while attempting to snatch motorcycle from its owner.
The arrest followed a distress call received from Adiyan community in Agbado area of the state that two armed men were about to snatch a motorcycle from its owner. On receiving the information, the DPO Agbado Division, CSP Omonijo Olatunji, detailed his patrol team to the scene where one of the robbers was arrested while his accomplice escaped through the nearby bush. Their charms were unable to save and protect them as Adewole was apprehended.

This was disclosed by the Ogun State Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police. Oyeyemi said that the police recovered from the suspect, Adewole, one locally made pistol, one dagger and assorted charms which they used for the operation.
He gave the name of his fleeing colleague as Ojo Iberu who is now at large. The suspect equally confessed that they are members of Aye cult group and that they go into robbery whenever they run out of cash.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) for discreet investigation. He equally directed that the suspect that escaped be hunted and brought to justice within the shortest possible time. Oyeyemi said that the suspect will be charged to Court after the conclusion of the investigation.
