Chief Akin Ricketts Advocates For Peace And Harmony Among Nigerians

His Highness Obol Akin Ricketts, the Obol Kepon of Aboni Community and Obol Nkama I of Ugep, has urged residents to embody the virtues of Christ such as humility, perseverance, and compassion during the Easter season while commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

 

The erstwhile NPA Board Chairman, Chief Ricketts, emphasized the importance of living in peace and harmony with individuals of other faiths, highlighting values like good neighbourliness, selflessness, and patience, all exemplified by Jesus Christ.

 

Chief Ricketts encouraged Cross Riverians, particularly Christians, to use the Easter period as an opportunity to seek God’s guidance for continual peace and tranquility in Cross River State.

 

He called for sober reflection on personal, communal, and national relationships during this period, emphasizing that Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection symbolize love, tolerance, and the transition from evil to good deeds.

Chief Ricketts urged individuals to emulate Christ’s virtues by positively impacting the lives of others, including friends, colleagues, neighbours and family members.

 

He reiterated the importance of continuous prayers for peace in Cross River State and encouraged Christian faithful to uphold this prayerful spirit during the Easter celebration.
