Chief C.C Nwokedi Marks Birthday In Grand Style

It was a gathering of dignitaries over the weekend during the 47th birthday celebration of a Nigerian philanthropist, Chief Chika C. Nwokedi and the dedication of his first son in Ijegun, Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that very important personalities came from across Nigeria to witness the event organized by Chief Nwokedi, who holds the title of Okpoko 1 of Obodoukwu in Ideato Local government Area of Imo State and his amiable wife.

Among the dignitaries were Special Adviser to President Buhari on media, Mr. Femi.Adeshina, AIG FCIID Alagbon, Murtala Mani, President of Odua Peoples’ Congress, OPC, Worldwide, New Era, Alhaji Rasaq Balogun, top Police chiefs and other dignitaries.

The event also attracted both the Igbos and other ethnic nationalities resident in Lagos including some Igbo organizations led by Igbo Buru Out, which Nwokedi is the president.

Speaking at the event, Chief Nwokedi said that the celebration was to express gratitude to God for His mercies and blessing on his family and equally to dedicate his son to God for protection and guidance. He thanked his friends and well wishers, who attended the event and reiterated that he has dedicated his life to serve humanity.
He emphasized the need for Nigerians to be united and work towards the progress of all despite our differences and ethnic affiliations.

The occasion, which had two significant sections, the church and the party segments, began as early as 9am. Very early in the morning, men and officers of Isheri Oshun Division, led by SP Rafiu Akinlade, had positioned and maintained order in the area ensuring traffic sanity preparatory to the arrival of the AIG Alagbon and the Area ‘M’ Commander, Idimu and Divisional Police Officers, who came to celebrate with Nwokedi.

Police ensured their safe entry into the event place and also monitored the activities of the other private/paramilitary outfits on ground in the interest of the celebrant, dignitaries and other invited guests.
Not minding the fact that the event was not an official Police event, some of the officers attended in order to appreciate the kind gesture and philanthropic assistance the celebrant had given to the Nigeria Police.

Some of the guests spoke their mind and commended Chief Nwokedi for his generous nature and said his life was worthy of emulation by all.
Chief Nwokedi was the former President of Ladipo Market, Mushin area of Lagos before he moved into international businesses and set up group of companies. He has been recognized both nationally and internationally  for his philanthropic gesture and has won several awards. He is married with children.
