Chief Cyriacus Izuekwe Emerges Director Of Media & Publicity Of Ndigbo Media Forum Worldwide

The much awaited management team of Ndigbo Media Forum worldwide has finally been announced with the Crime Editor of P.M.EXPRESS, Chief Cyriacus Izuekwe, emerging as the Director of Media and Publicity of the group. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed by the founder and National Coordinator, Rev. Paul Eze, in a statement in Lagos with other prominent Ndigbo emerging as the members of the management team in different capacities.

 

The management team so far announced included Engr. Chuks Onuegbu, Executive Secretary,  Steve Nwohu, Financial Secretary, Florence Ibeh, Welfare officer, Comrade Lawrence C Ezeunara, Director Of Organizing, Comrade Felix Mbata, member Media Publicity. Prof. Chidi Offoregbu, Director Strategy and Planning, Mr. Chinedu C.Chiweuba, Provost, Bishop offoregbu, Leader,  Bishop Ewerem, Leader and  Comrade Peter Anosike, member Media and Publicity.

 

Ndigbo Media Forum (NMF) was recently unveiled with the objectives of  promoting and propagating Ndigbo in a positive light for better understanding and to work on how to live in unity, peace, harmony among other ethnic groups in Nigeria.

 

The National Coordinator, Rev. Eze, while unveiling forum, explained that the group was conceived to promote the Igbo welfare and it comprises of some prominent Igbo men and women, who are passionate about the welfare of Ndigbo.

He stated that the core objectives of the forum are to promote, propagate the course of Ndigbo and its rich cultural heritage including their ideological perspectives across the globe.

Rev. Eze noted that it was necessary to have such a group in order to change the narratives and correct negative impressions about Ndigbo, which had been sold in the public space over the years and to state the historical facts of those erroneously held impressions through the mass media.

Apart from that, Eze explained that the group was created to build friendly bridges across the nation, mend fences and renew mutual relationships with other ethnic groups and regions correspondents. And as well gather, analyze and disseminate intelligence information to the Southeast leadership and Ndigbo in general across the globe.

He also stated that the group will stand as the mouthpiece, image maker, defend and refute any negative information against Ndigbo through the mass media as well promote Igbo welfare.

“The group will work to educate and sensitize Ndigbo on the need for media awareness and optimal use of media to propagate Ndigbo culture and tradition including sustainability of Igbo language to avert extinction.”

“The group will also create, promote and build consensus that will enhance information development of Ndigbo, work towards improving and maintaining their participation in socio-political activities in Nigeria, organize seminars, workshops and accord recognitions to distinguish Igbo sons, daughters and friends who have contributed immensely for the welfare of Ndigbo in general.” Rev. Eze stated.
