It appears that the fate of the ousted factional President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, Chief Sunday Ossai has finally been sealed following the emergence of Chief Evaristus Ozonweke and Deacon Friday C. Obi in the avowed bid to replace him in the coming days.
P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed in a statement by Chief Ossai, who linked the Secretary General to Ohanaeze Worldwide, Ambassador Okey Emuchy, alleged to be working behind the scene for his removal in order to install Ozonweke, who is also working with some of the executives led by the General Secretary, Chief Robert Obasi.
But the bone of contention now is on who will take over from Ossai between Ozonweke and Obi, while Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide led by Emuchy was said to be favourable to Ozonweke to replace him while Obi is a member of the present executives and by hierarchy, he should take over from Ossai based on the zoning formula in the Ohanaeze Constitution, unlike Ozonweke, who is not a member of the Executives.
Chief Ossai’s woes started after information leaked that he collected huge sums of money realized during the election from the Electoral Committee, which conducted his election without informing the executives, that was meant to be shared at both at State and Local Government levels in the State.
When the executives confronted him, he reportedly admitted but claimed that he used the money to pay the debts he was owing during an Ohanaeze Ndigbo event.

That singular act made the executives begin to suspect him and completely lost confidence in his leadership.
The second matter that compounded his woes was when Enugu State Zone, which nominated him, invited him to discuss issues concerning his administration. He reportedly snubbed them and merely sent a representative which angered his people.
The Executives and Chief Ossai had been at loggerheads over the manner in which Ossai was managing the Apex Igbo organization in Lagos State and his inability to provide leadership to Ndigbo in Lagos State.
The feud reached its climax on Thursday during an emergency meeting, which was called in order for Chief Ossai to address the issue of Football Tournament powered by St Eve Concept Ltd using Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State as brand without the knowledge of the executive members.
The Executive members were said to have suspected that Chief Ossai had collected huge sums of money before consenting to the use of Ohanaeze Ndigbo as brand for St Eve Concept Ltd football tournament. They then conspired and perfected the plans to remove him.
During the meeting, Chief Ossai was confronted to explain why he solely took the decision and went on to grant press conference on Arise TV on a matter that have not been discussed at the executive meeting. When he was unable to satisfy them with his responses, they moved against him through a motion moved by Barrister Leonard Nwaogidi, who is the Financial Secretary of the group and was supported by Chief Mrs. Nelly Okeafor and Mrs. Blessings Ngozi and the majority of the executives endorsed his removal.
The Secretary, Chief Obasi, took over as Acting President in the absence of the Deputy. The executive members immediately took a decision and disassociated themselves from the said football tournament while asking the organisers to remove the logo of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
The Executives have scheduled to hold General Assembly meeting to ractify the removal of Chief Ossai and election of Obi or Ozonweke as new President.
However, Chief Ossai was said to have denounced the removal and by implication, he may have to work with his only supporter in the Executive, identified as Madam Evelyn, who is championing the football tournament in question.
