A Chinese national, Mr. Jacob Wang, was reportedly robbed in Lagos after he picked a sex worker by the road side for day break romp.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that apart from that, he was brutally attacked with machete by the robbers who were said to have arranged with the sex workers and dispossessed him of an iPhone worth about N700,000.

The incident happened at NNPC Junction close to the popular Romeo and Juliet and Link Garden bar, where the road side sex workers always stood to hustle for clients.

It was gathered that Mr. Wang went to the area from his company which was close to the place before he was attacked by the robbers, which seemed to have been arranged by the sex workers operating in the area.

One of the sex workers, a 20-year old Anita Melekwe, has been arrested in connection with the attack on Mr. Wang.
However, Anita denied knowing anything about the incident. She claimed that she only asked Mr. Wang to pay her N5,000 so that she will tell the robbers who stole the phone to return it to him. Mr. Wang was said to have paid her but the phone was not returned as she promised.

The matter was then reported to the police at Ejigbo Division. He claimed that he went to the area to arrange with an Uber driver that will pick him at the airport but Anita debunked his claim; she said he went there in the evening to pick a sex worker before the unfortunate incident happened.
The police found Anita culpable and charged her before Ejigbo Magistrates Court. She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Kenneth Asibor, asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the police to prove that she actually committed the crime.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.O. Shomade, granted her bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
The matter was adjourned till 3rd July, 2019.
