CLEEN Foundation Partners PSC To Monitor Conduct Of Security In Osun

The CLEEN Foundation in partnership with the Police Service Commission and Kimpact Youth Development Initiative (KDI) deployed over 90 domestic observers in the Osun State governorship election that held on Saturday.
According to the report by the Senior Information Technology Officer, Mr. Gabriel Akinremi, about three observers were deployed to monitor the conduct of security agents yesterday in each of the 30 local government areas across the state. He further hinted that Election Security Support Centres was set up in Osogbo and their three offices in Abuja, Owerri and Lagos. The Support Centres were coordinated simultaneously to keep Nigerians and the international community updated on developments in Osun State using social and traditional media. He went on to explain that the Centres received incident reports from their field observers and shared with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Police Service Commission (PSC), Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Civil Society Situation Room for optimal monitoring and coordination of the election yesterday.
In addition, CLEEN Foundation and INEC staff were on Nigeria Info, 95.1 FM Radio Station (https://nigeriainfo.fm/live/), Abuja on Saturday for live commentaries and coverage. Their personnel and partners on election observation duty were interviewed live from the radio station. The project was implemented under the European Union Support for Democratic Governance in Nigeria (EU-SDGN).
