The 2022 World ParaVolley Course 1 for Coaches and Referees had a scintillating practical session Saturday where selected players were pitched against each other to assess the level of the coaches’ and referees’ skills and techniques at the ongoing training.
The practical training session also had the coaches on the court which comprise two teams playing each other at the NIS Gymnasium Complex, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
It is a week-long developmental programme designed for referees and coaches to equip the handlers with the current trends and to sharpen their skills in the Paravolley.
It has been a special clinic since Monday in and outside the court where participants were taken through the rudiments of the game at the Volleyball court, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere Lagos.
The Technical Director of the Nigeria Paravolley Federation, Mrs Agera Priscilla said the course has come to educate more about Paravolley.
“It’s easy for volleyball coaches and referees to be converted. But the rules of volleyball and the Paravolley are quite different because of the physically challenged athletes”.
