The Secretary to the Local Government,  Ikeja LGA, Lagos State, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD) today visited the training center where over 500 youths from within and outside Ikeja are undergoing employability training.
Recall that AKOD partnered with USAID/LSETF/MIDRAMO to conduct a screening some weeks ago in order to pick participants for the training. AKOD was able to mobilise over 3000 youths to the screening venue at Ikeja Sports Center, Oluwaleyimu, Ikeja.
Today, AKOD congratulated those who passed the screening and also commended them for their determination and resilience.  He re-echoed the fact that Nigeria Youths are not lazy and are only waiting for the push and promised to always do his possible best to support and give that push to every youth first from Ikeja and even to the nigeria youths at large.
He commended the other three organizations for their efforts so far in conducting a smooth screening process and now for the giving out their best to the teeming youths. He assured them of his continuous support anytime he is called upon.
He concluded by saying that for every youth in Ikeja, Better Days are Ahead of them.
