Council Supervisor Trains 500 Amuwo Youths On Financial Skills.

The Supervisor of Environment, Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Akinbinu, has trained 500 residents on financial skills to operate POS dispensing machines.

 

The initiative, endorsed and supported by the Executive Chairman, Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh, who was ably represented by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Idris Abubakar, showed that the Local Government is committed to supporting community initiatives that improve financial capabilities and employability, addressing unemployment and financial exclusion.

 

Hon. Akinbinu emphasised the importance of financial literacy and entrepreneurship in today’s economy, stating that “this initiative will not only provide financial skills but also serve as a means of economic empowerment for our residents”.

 

Participants had to undergo a three-week intensive training programme at the multi-purpose hall of the council secretariat.
