Criminals Busted Carting Away Goods Worth Millions Of Naira

It was a sad end for suspected robbery syndicate who specialised in breaking and entering warehouses, as the police busted their operations and arrested them at a warehouse in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the warehouse located at Abule Taylor by U-Turn Abule Egba area of Lagos where the goods worth millions of Naira were parked by the owner.

The suspects were Shola Adegbola, Kunle Kumenu and Shina Kazeem.

It was gathered that the suspects arrived at night with a truck, broke the warehouse and carted away the goods. However, before they could escape, the police got information, went there and rounded them up. The stolen goods and the truck they used for the operation were recovered and kept at the police station as exhibits. This was confirmed by the amiable Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal at the Police Command, Ikeja, Lagos.

The police boss stated that the police received information that the suspects had on 24th May, 2018, gone to the warehouse at night, burgled the place and loaded goods inside a Mazda truck with registration number LND 98XA.
However, they were unlucky as the police got information and arrested them.
They were arrested and the police recovered the goods comprising of cartons of street lights and the operational vehicle which were kept at the police station as exhibits. The suspects were then transferred to the Police Command where they were paraded by the CP Edgal.

The CP said that it has shown that the police in partnership with the public were working to ensure the safety of lives and properties. He noted that the information was passed to the police by a member of the public; the police acted promptly and arrested the suspects. He said that the suspects will be charged to court soon after the completion of investigations.

The suspects confessed to the alleged offence and regretted that they were unlucky having succeeded before and said that they will face the consequences as they were arrested in the act.
