DEJI TINUBU LAID TO REST

Deji Tinubu, the Special Adviser to the Governorship’s Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State on Commerce and Industry was today laid to rest at the Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Victoria Island was the venue of the lying in state and funeral service.

The funeral service attracted his boss, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, members of the State Executive Council, family members and close friends. Also in the service were Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, wife of the Vice President, Dolapo Osinbajo, former Governor of Anambra, Peter Obi, the Nigerian football family, Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora, Mr. Dele Momodu, Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Body of Permanent Secretaries, members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, political associates, among others.

After the funeral service at the City of David Parish of RCCG, the sports aficionado was interred at Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi, Lagos amidst tears from family members, associates, well-wishers and friends.

Deji – the sports icon died last Thursday after he slumped while playing football with fellow members of the State Executive Council.
