We Didn’t Collect Money From Any Gubernatorial Aspirant – Former Sole Administrators

Former Sole Administrators in Lagos State have reacted to the news making the rounds especially in the social media that they collected the sum of N1m each from a particular gubernatorial aspirant in the State.

In a statement made available to newsmen today in Lagos and signed by Engr. Taiwo Abiodun, Deputy Chairman, Conference 57, Lagos Sole Administrators (Former), the SOLADs cleared the air on the issue of collecting N1m and mobilization of support for the candidate.

“There is an allegation making the rounds in the social media that we, the former Sole Administrators in Lagos State, have collected the sum of N1m each from a particular governorship aspirant in Lagos State in order to mobilize supporters for him. We hereby state unequivocally that it is not true.

“We do understand that about 19 former Sole Administrators were said to be present at a meeting where money was shared. We state that the said 19 members do not represent us; they have done so in their individual capacities and therefore do not speak or represent the interests of the body of Sole Administrators”.

“We want to use this opportunity to reiterate and inform the general public that the body of Sole Administrators stands by the decision of our party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, on the gubernatorial primary election in the state. We equally affirm that we will never at any point deviate from the party’s decision and from the position of our symbol and highly revered leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu”.

“Our party leaders, supporters and the general public should therefore not pay attention to any group of individuals purportedly representing the SOLADs and doing anything contrary to the party’s decision” the group said.
