The resolution of Alimosho youths to put a stop to the prototype system of party leadership in the ruling All Progressive Congress was borne out of dishonesty, oppression and recycling of politicians in glaring imposition on the part of the leaders.

P.M.EXPRESS reports as was revealed by Engr. Akeem Abiodun Ariori, a pillar and Chief Mobiliser of the New Alimosho Youths Movement (NAYM), who are clamouring for a change in the leadership of APC in Alimosho.

The Oganla of Isheri-Olofin Kingdom, nicknamed Erujeje by the youths, who cut across the five LCDAs and LG in Alimosho, said the youths decided to free themselves from the Political slavery they had been enduring since the commencement of this fourth republic in 1999. Ariori lamented that instead of the leadership to engage the youths in a peaceful dialogue, they kept on threatening them and went as far as assassinating their characters in the Social Media.

He said the struggle of the youths is a tactical and peaceful one, aimed at correcting the irregularities in the Alimosho Polity.

“What the Alimosho Youths are asking for is very simple, they are craving for a reformed and transparent leadership devoid of  ‘Oga s’ope’, a system where nobody will be disenfranchised from aspiring or contesting” Chief Ariori emphasised.

He revealed that there were moves to create gully between the aggrieved youths, but efforts failed, as the youths are well determined and strong in their desire for a change in Alimosho.

Amidst shouts of Enough is Enough! (Otoge Alimosho!), the youths on Saturday October 31, 2020, endorsed Prince Idris Balogun, Oluomo of Isheri-Olofin Kingdom, as their candidate for the House of Representative in Alimosho Federal Constituency.
Present at the event were party youth leaders, Engr. Abiodun Ariori, Prince Abiodun Ejigbadero and journalists.
