The Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly and member representing Nwangele Constituency, Rt. Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu ,KSC, has called on Imo people and Nigerians to live in peace and harmony, and desist from acts that are capable of dividing the nation.

In his Easter message during a Thanksgiving Service at New Covenant Anglican Church, Amuzi in Dim na Nume Isu, Nwangele LGA, the Deputy Speaker appealed to Nwangele and Imo people to live by availing themselves with what the resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolizes.

While alluding to the fact that the nation is going through some challenges, Amara Iwuanyanwu enjoined Imo people and his Nwangele Constituents to rather join hands in prayers with the Imo Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma and all men and women of goodwill to preach unity, peace and love, which Christ exemplified while being crucified, so as to move the state forward.

As the egghead and proactive State legislator wished the Christian faithful a wonderful Easter celebration, he however, charged them to keep praying for the state and nation to overcome her socioeconomic challenges, calling on the people not be wary, but to trudge on.

“As a people, let us hold on to one another and support the Government of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, in his avowed and onerous efforts in ensuring the shared dividends of democracy to all Imo citizens while securing  lives and property of the people.  Let us also continue to pray for the progress and unity of our dear country despite the present challenges, and desist from acts and utterances capable of dividing us more” Rt. Hon Iwuanyanwu submitted.

The State legislator also seized the opportunity the Easter  season has created to celebrate the mass of the members of his Nwangele Constituency for their show of support and solidarity including the leadership.
