At Easter, Kwankwaso Says Nigeria Shall Rise Again!

The member representing Kano Central in the Senate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has felicitated with Christians in his constituency and across the country on the occasion of the celebration of Easter.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the lawmaker a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) congratulated Christian faithfuls across the country, saying just as the Christians believe in their faith that Christ rose for their salvation, Nigeria will surmount all the problems confronting it and rise again to greatness.
This is coming just he also called on Nigerians irrespective of ethnic or religious affiliations to imbibe the spirit of love and communal living, saying only with such resolute commitment will the country wriggle out of its numerous issues militating against its progress.
In the statement issued by his media office on Saturday, Kwankwaso who is the immediate past governor of Kano State stated that the call on Nigerians to live harmoniously with one another has become apt when viewed against the numerous challenges facing the country.
According to the former governor, the teachings on the death of Christ on Mont Calvary is a huge lesson for all Nigerians to emulate in a clime where empathy, good neighbourliness is moving away from being the norm but becoming an anathema.
“I felicitate with my brothers and sisters in Christendom who are once again marking the occasion of Easter. It symbolizes an ultimate sacrifice, which symbolism and uniqueness should not be lost on all of us, a people with a common destiny.
“I hope and pray that the Christian faithful utilize the opportunity provided by this celebration to specially pray for the continued peace, unity and progress of our dear nation that is facing numerous challenges in various facets of our national life.
On the state of the nation, he urged Nigerians to be their brothers’ keepers in the face of the numerous challenges facing them as a people, saying “collectively, we are one people bound together by a common destiny and that together we must ensure equity and justice for all.”
